On September 10, the Yichang Navigation Bureau of the Yangtze River held a briefing on the "不忘初心、牢记使命" themed democratic life meeting and a summary meeting on the theme education. Members of the bureau's leadership team, middle and above-level cadres from the bureau's offices and directly affiliated units, members of the teams and branch committees of grassroots navigation offices, and some party representatives from the offices attended the meeting. 　　At the meeting, Party Secretary Mei Linfang gave a detailed briefing on the situation of the "不忘初心、牢记使命" themed democratic life meeting of the Yichang Navigation Bureau of the Yangtze River Party Committee, and made a serious summary of the progress and achievements of the theme education of the Yichang Navigation Bureau of the Yangtze River.

　　When summarizing the theme education, Mei Linfang pointed out that the three-month theme education has achieved significant results, mainly reflected in: good gains in theoretical study; real baptism in terms of ideology and politics; responsibility and dedication in undertaking tasks and starting businesses; effectively solving a series of difficulties and development problems in terms of serving the people; and further strengthening the exemplary role of leading by example in terms of integrity and clean governance. However, there are still some shortcomings, mainly: learning research is not deep enough; style transformation is not strict enough; and problem rectification has not been fully implemented. At the same time, he put forward five requirements for the next step to consolidate and expand the achievements of theme education, further temper party spirit, strengthen style construction, and strengthen the thorough rectification of problems: First, we must further achieve deep understanding, firm belief, and firm action, making political theory a "guide" for guiding practice; second, we must further improve political standing and build consensus, making political construction the "foundation stone" of unit development; third, we must truly put people first and serve the people, making the sense of purpose the "magic weapon" to unite people's hearts; fourth, we must constantly advocate advancement, perform our duties, and fulfill our responsibilities, making responsibility and dedication the "engine" to promote work; fifth, we must persistently rectify the style of work and improve the style of work, making discipline and rules the "sails" that provide protection and guidance.
