On September 5th, combining the "Upholding the Initial Aspiration, Shouldering the Mission, Being Courageous and Responsible, and Working Diligently" branch-themed Party day activity, the first branch of the Changjiang Yichang Navigation Bureau held a thematic organizational life meeting and a democratic appraisal meeting for Party members on the theme of "Never Forgetting the Initial Aspiration and Keeping the Mission in Mind." The event was presided over by branch secretary Cheng Luyong, and Party committee secretary Mei Linfang and Discipline Committee secretary Wang Jinsheng participated in the activity as ordinary Party members.

　　The branch members collectively reviewed the Party membership oath, recited the Party Constitution, and studied the tenth part of "Conducting Criticism and Self-Criticism" in "Several Regulations on Intra-Party Political Life Under the New Situation" and the notice of "The Changjiang Navigation Bureau Party Committee on Carrying Out the Activity of Learning from Comrade Niu Bailong and Striving to Be a "Bailong-style" Model."

　　At the meeting, Cheng Luyong, on behalf of the branch committee, reported on the implementation of the rectification of problems from the 2018 organizational life meeting, gave an account of the work of the first branch in 2019, conducted a self-examination and analysis of the prominent problems existing in the branch committee, and proposed rectification measures for the next step. Subsequently, branch members conducted self-examination and analysis one by one, and seriously and earnestly carried out criticism and self-criticism based on the principle of mutual help, mutual promotion, and common improvement.

　　Mei Linfang emphasized five requirements for the work of the first branch and its members: First, strengthen political study, in-depth study of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the strategy of a strong transportation country, etc., to achieve a thorough understanding and mastery, and further improve ideological and political standing; second, make efforts in leading by example, the three views of branch members' ideology must be correct, work must be strict with oneself, set an example, and style must be tempered and demonstrated; third, strengthen the sense of service, combining theory with practice; fourth, fully stimulate the vitality of young people in undertaking and starting businesses, and help young employees grow and succeed; fifth, be courageous in fulfilling responsibilities, undertaking and starting businesses, and style construction, and further strengthen Party spirit training; sixth, the first branch should be a role model and play a leading role throughout the system.

　　Cheng Luyong summarized and emphasized that the branch committee and branch members should earnestly implement the requirements of the two leaders, further strengthen Party spirit training, improve political standing; adhere to the initial mission, be courageous in shouldering responsibilities and acting; and improve problem rectification and consolidate the achievements of thematic education.
